Abdominoplasty (Finesse Tummy Tuck)

More commonly known as tummy tuck, abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to slim and tighten the midsection. For many people, a protruding abdomen is extremely difficult to alter through diet and exercise alone. In addition, pregnancy or weight loss may have left extra loose skin on their abdominal area. Abdominoplasty can remove fat and excess skin while tightening underlying muscles. It can produce more dramatic results than liposuction alone. Abdominoplasty Variations

Suction Assisted Lipectomy

This procedure of the abdomen is a separate and distinct procedure to thin the abdominal wall by removing the fat attached to the underside of the skin. It is charged for independently if an abdominoplasty is not performed. Suction is primarily done as an independent procedure if there is no extra skin present on the abdominal wall as it depends on the skin remaining to shrink by itself to the new contour assisted by fat removal. Ultrasound is also used to remove larger quantities of fat.

For people with No extra skin, muscles apart from pregnancies and extra fat around the lower abdomen and flanks. It includes plication of muscle through an incision around the belly button and in the pubic hair using a video camera only. Suction or ultrasound is then used to remove fat and redrape skin.

French or Mini-Abdominoplasty

This procedure is for people whose problems are confined to the lower abdomen. It involves undermining skin up to the belly button and tightening up the muscle wall and then removing the extra skin from the belly button procedures. The belly button has no scar around it. Extra skin of the lower abdomen is removed; extra skin of the upper abdomen, i.e., above the navel will not be removed, nor will he muscle above the naval be tightened. Extra skin and muscle weakness above the belly button, if present, will still be there, since this is not corrected with this operation. Scar is confined to the pubic region and is not as long as a full abdominoplasty.

This procedure is for people who have excess skin and a large bulge around the umbilicus and no waist. This procedure is to correct extra skin and fat of the abdominal wall from the rib cage to the pubic area. This procedure involves making an incision across the groin, lifting the skin and fat off the abdomen up to the rib cage, tightening the muscles of your abdominal wall from the rib cage to the pubic area to give you a waist, and then removing extra skin and fat as a block excision. The belly button is detached and resewn in a new position.
